Fitbit Charge 2
Wow where do I even begin? I have had my Fitbit since February of this year so I have had it for a few months. Let me just say it has changed my life. This is literally my favorite item of 2017 so far.
I will go ahead and tell you, this device is one of the biggest reasons I have lost weight. Mainly because it keeps me moving. I will explain more through out this post.
Steps- My fitbit keeps up with my steps throughout the day. I typically get about 10,000 steps a day or more. Except on Sunday, that is my rest day.
Challenges- ahh probably one of my favorite things on my fitbit. There are three different challenges you can do. There is one for the work week (Monday – Friday), one for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and then one that lasts for one day. Who ever gets the most steps wins. I found an awesome friend that really challenges me and let me tell you this girl moves. Which has got me moving way more than normal.
Community- Not only do you have friends to support and challenge you, you also now have a community. There are different kinds you can join. People can post tips, motivation, their steps and so much more. I love scrolling through it. I have already learned some stuff that I can’t wait to share with you guys.
Tracks Calories- Throughout the day my Fitbit tracks my calories based on my weight, height, activities and steps for the day. I am much more aware of how many calories I am burning each day. I’m able to set a goal on the app. So each day I am trying to burn that many calories. This is one of my favorite and most helpful features.
Tracks my Sleep- I wear my Fitbit to sleep each night and it tracks how many hours I am asleep, awake, my REM, how long I am sleeping light, and how long I am having deep sleep. I am so aware of my sleep and how getting some zzzz’s in makes my day so much more productive.
Reminders to Move- Every hour if I haven’t got 250 steps in my Fitbit vibrates and reminds me to move. I find that when I get 250 steps in each hour I burn more calories.
So many Goals- I can set a goal for how many steps I want to get in each day. I can set a goal for sleep, calories, flights of stairs, certain amount of days to work out and time. Want to loose weight? Set a goal for that. There are so many options with your Fitbit and Fitbit app.
Keeps up with Heart Rate- My Fitbit also keeps up with my Heart Rate. There are 4 different stages my Fitbit goes by. There is the resting stage, the fat burn, the cardio and the peak stage. This keeps me aware of how hard I am working on my work out. There is so much more too this, but we would be here allllllll day.
Silent Alarms- This one is one of my favorites. On my app I can set alarms, or reminders. When it goes off my Fitbit just vibrates. It gets my attention, but if someone else is around it doesn’t distract them. This is especially good if you are sharing a bed or bed room with someone.
App- The app is about as good as my Fitbit, but it would also be nothing without my Fitbit. The app has a dashboard with all of my goals and stats. I check mine multiple times a to see how I am doing and it keeps me super motivated.
My Fitbit is a big part of my weight loss. I move much more. I am more aware of my health and have more motivation. If you have any questions or comments feel free to comment below or email me. I love love love feedback.
