Carbs, also known as carbohydrates is probably one of the biggest “no no’s” in the “diet” world. I have a tip for you guys. DON’T CUT OUT CARBS! I have heard this from multiple personal trainers, even the famous ones. Most people that cut out carbs, yes probably lose the weight, but end up gaining it back if not more.
Not all carbs are bad. Yes carbs from cake or a high calorie muffin are not so good. Those are the ones you stay away from. I will talk more about that in another post.
Carbs actually provide glucose which is an essential source of energy for our beautiful brain and muscles. You need it.
With that being said, that does not mean to go crazy on carbs and end up having endless energy. That is where most people mess up.
When do I have carbs?
I try to make sure I have carbs in the morning and after noon. I try to avoid them for dinner.
How many grams do I have a day?
I honestly aim for about 50 grams a day. Sometimes I go over. Keep in mind I move all day and on days I don’t I go for less.
What foods do I eat for carbs?
I get my carbs from whole grains, fruits, veggies, low fat dairy, and oats. My absolute favorite is veggie noodles. Expect a recipe post for that later. I do eat bread sometimes, but when I do it is only whole wheat/whole grain. Same with my tortillas. Expect a post for that later as well.
