Valentines Day is coming up and I am excited, even though I am single. I see Valentines Day as a day of love. Not just having a significant other. Here are some ideas you can do for Valentines Day whether you are single or not.
1. Spend time with your loved ones.
Most people think if you don’t have a significant other, then Valentines day is just awful. No it isn’t. This is a day you can spend time with your parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, grandparents. People very close to your heart. I know I will be going to see my nephew because he will always be my Valentine. You could plan dinner, game night, movie night or really anything.
2. Go out with your friends.
I will also be doing this too. Have a girls night or a guys night or just a big group of friends. I am having a girls night the weekend before and going to watch Fifty Shades Darker and I can’t wait. You can plan a trip, go to the movies, dinner, you can really do anything. You know you would be lost without your friends, show them your love for them.
3. Self love
It is okay to love yourself. Use this day to relax and take care of yourself. If you dislike all of this Valentines stuff. Get away. Go to the spa or pamper yourself at home. I will honestly probably do this too.
4. Make someone smile
You never know what people are going through. So give someone a compliment, do something funny or do something to make someone smile. It will make you smile too.
5. Do something for someone else
This is the day to show love. God’s love. If you know someone is hurting or upset. Go see them and bring them a little treat. Hold the door for someone, buy the person behind you in line Starbucks, let someone in front of you in line. If you know there is someone that has lost their significant other or someone very dear to their heart, don’t let them be alone on this day or weekend. Spend time with that person. Do something extravagant for your loved one. I promise if you do something selfless and for someone else you will feel the love.
I hope this gave you some ideas and enjoy your Valentines Day and weekend. Much love.
